The Corn Maze

The 2010 corn maze at Oakes Farm is a tribute to the 10th anniversary of agritourism events at the farm. The maze features a barn and cilo, corn, pumpkins and some text. Thanks goes out to all our customers for ten years of great memories. p>

The 2009 corn maze at Oakes Farm was a celebration of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The park was dedicated 75 years ago this year. The Great Smoky Mountains are a wonderful beauty to have in our 'back yard". Just an hour away from the farm. For information on visitn the park, go to http://www.nps.gov/grsm/index.htm.
If you would like to visit the park consider staying in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg or Townsend Tennessee.

9 acres - 900,000 stalks of corn - 4.2 miles of trails. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find each of 12 different posts hidden in the maze, and then to find your way back out. The maze is designed as two separate mazes, one 1.6 miles long, and the other 2.6 miles. The maze should take 1 to 1 1/2 hours to navigate. (And maybe a little longer at night by flashlight.)

Professionally designed into a maze by Shawn Stolworthy of Maze Play. The latest GPS technology was used in early August to sculpt the maze into an aerial piece of art. To view other mazes designed by Shawn Stolworthy visit MazePlay. Shawn is the premier corn maze designer in the United States.
